Your new tablet has a 10.1'' IPS (1280 x 800 pixels) screen with anti-fingerprint coating, Octa Core ARM Cortex A7 1.8 GHz processor, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, microSD slot to expand memory capacity by a further 128 GB via microSD cards, 6000 mAh battery, dual speaker system, 2 MP front camera and 5 MP rear camera.

Before you start using your tablet, we recommend you to read this manual and familiarize yourself with it. It will only take a few minutes and will help you enjoy your device with maximum performance.

Care and maintenance

  • Do not expose your tablet to impacts, dust, direct sunlight, humidity or high temperatures.
  • Do not use neither corrosive nor abrasive cleaning products.
  • Keep the device clean and free of dust using a soft and dry cloth.
  • Do not leave your tablet completely discharged for a long time. Always use the charger provided with the product or any other with the same features.
  • Please do not dismantle the device. All reparation works should be carried out exclusively by qualified staff of Energy Sistem Technology, S.A.

Charging the device

Your tablet has a rechargeable 6000 mAh battery. The charging time ranges from 4 to 6 hours, depending on whether the device is on or off. Always charge your tablet through the microUSB cable and the power adapter that come with the product to comply with the battery charging times.

Switching on and off the device

Keep the power button (5) pressed for a few seconds to turn on your tablet. Once the operating system has loaded completely, please unlock the device by sliding up your finger on the lock screen. Please follow the setup wizard to adjust basic settings when you switch on the device for the first time.

To turn off the device, keep the power button (5) pressed until the power off menu appears on screen and then select Switch off.

Briefly press the power button (5) to lock/unlock the device, thus turning the screen off/on.

  1. Search: Direct access to Google's search engine.
  2. Voice Search: Access to Google's voice search and much more.
  3. Status bar: displays information about the signal status, battery and clock. If you slide down your finger over this area, you will access the notifications menu. The quick settings panel will be displayed if you slide down your finger once again. You can also access this panel by sliding down two fingers over the status bar on the main screen.
  4. Gmail: Google e-mail app.
  5. Camera: access to the built-in camera.
  6. Chrome: Google web browser.
  7. Menu: Access to the app menu.
  8. Play Store: Google app store.
  9. Google Photos: image and video display and backup on the cloud.
  10. Music: music player.
  11. Multitask: shows the recently used applications.
  12. Home: brings you back to the main screen.
  13. Back: allows you to go back to the previous screen shown by any application that is running.

Widgets

In order to add a widget to one of your desktops, tap and hold the centre of the desktop and then, select WIDGETS.

Slide your finger up or down to see all your installed widgets. Select the one you want to add to your desktop by keeping it pressed and then releasing it on the selected area.

To relocate a widget that is already placed on the desktop, select it by pressing it for a few seconds and release it on a free area. Drag it and release it on the X on the top part of the screen if you want to delete it.

Wireless settings

Bluetooth

Your tablet features Bluetooth technology to connect it to headphones, computers, tablets or any device that supports such communication protocol. You just need to go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on the switch on the top part of the screen. Once enabled, the screen will start to show a list of available devices among which you will be able to select one to establish the connection.

  1. Settings > Bluetooth.

  3. Select the device you want to connect to.
  4. Accept the pairing request.

Wi-Fi

Your tablet has Wi-Fi connection. In order to connect your device to any wireless network, please go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on the switch situated on the top part of the screen. Once enabled, the screen will start to show a list of available devices among which you will be able to select one to establish the connection.

  1. Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Enable the Wi-Fi option.
  3. Select your Wi-Fi network.
  4. Connect.

Note: Your tablet is compatible with the following security and encryption standards: WEP, WPA, WPA2, TKIP and AES. Once you have completed the authentication process successfully, your tablet will save the Wi-Fi access data and your device will be ready to access the Internet. The device will remember the network and will automatically connect to it whenever is available.

Main applications

Internet browser

Your new tablet has the Google web browser among the list of installed default applications. You will be able to surf the Internet smoothly and easily with it. Once the device is connected to the Internet, press the Chrome icon on the desktop or in the application menu to start the browser.

E-mail settings

Gmail is the default e-mail client. This app allows you to access Google e-mail, as well as any other e-mail account with the correct settings. Note: In order to get to know your account settings, please ask your e-mail service provider.

Music player

Play your favourite music using the Music app. Run the app and it will scan the memory of your device to search for all audio files available.

Camera

You will be able to take photos and record videos easily with the built-in camera of your tablet. In order to switch to photo or video modes, you just have to slide your finger from the left edge to the right to see the side menu. This screen will allow you to access the settings options by pressing the gear icon located on the upper-right corner.

Gallery

Your tablet has the Google Photos app installed by default. You will be able to watch all your photos and videos without worrying about your storage capacity, since this app automatically saves them to the cloud so that you will always have access to them anywhere. Note: You can enable the backup option automatically when starting the app or accessing the settings menu later on.

Updates

Your Tablet Pro 3 has an Android based operating system that can be reinstalled or updated if necessary. Updates will be carried out via OTA (Over-The-Air) by default, so your tablet will automatically connect to our servers, will download the update and will install it as soon as it is available.

You can also update your tablet using your PC. The process is simple but has to be done carefully and only when is really necessary. If the device does not respond, restarts unexpectedly or you experience problems accessing the content stored on the internal storage memory, you should reinstall or upgrade the operating system to the latest compatible version available.

Please follow these steps to install it:

  1. Make sure that the battery of your tablet has at least a 60% charge. If this is not the case, plug it to the external power source using the provided power adapter.

  2. Access the www.energysistem.com/en website from your computer.

  3. Access the Support section and choose Tablet from the product range list.

  4. Choose your Tablet model from the dropdown list that appears and then download the latest firmware version available.
    Important:
    Please make sure the firmware version you are downloading is intended for your model and serial number. Otherwise the device could be damaged.

  5. Unzip the file on your computer.

  6. Open the text file that you will find in the folder and follow the instructions to install the firmware.

Troubleshooting

  1. Why is not possible to play some MP3 files?
    The MP3 file must follow the Layer 3 Standard for MPEG-1, MPEG-2 or MPEG 2.5 formats. Otherwise, they have to be converted using specific software.

  2. My tablet does not start, what can I do?
    Make sure that the battery has enough charge when trying to turn it on. If the problem continues after charging the device for at least 30 minutes, there may be a problem with the installed operating system. Please refer to the Updates section of this manual.

  3. Why is not possible to play some WMA files?
    Make sure you are not trying to play DRM-protected WMA files.

  4. Why is not possible to play video files, display images or text while using the music player?
    In general, applications only display the files that are compatible and that the programme is able to read. Therefore, you will only be able to display the files with the format that is compatible with that programme while you browse the folders from that specific application. In order to see all files stored on the internal memory at the same time, run the file explorer from the system settings menu or install an app supported by the device.

  5. Why is not possible to display my jpg images?
    Many digital cameras and image editing software add hidden data to jpg files. This can prevent your tablet from loading the images. Try using them by saving the image through another app.

  6. The screen has turned black and the device does not respond.
    Keep the power button pressed for a few seconds to reboot your tablet.

  7. The built-in memory of the tablet is lower than specified. Why?
    Its operating system and the preinstalled applications need a part of its internal memory to work properly. Therefore, the internal storage capacity available is a bit less than specified.

  8. I have upgraded the firmware and I no longer have any multimedia file nor wallpapers. How can I retrieve the contents that came preinstalled?
    Before carrying out any system upgrade, we recommend making a backup of everything you want to keep. In www.energysistem.com/en, you will find not only all the preinstalled content but many more multimedia files and additional wallpapers.

  9. What do I have to do to install an application that is not in Google Play Store?
    First of all, make sure that the file has the Android installation extension (.APK). When you open it, Android will ask you to activate app installation through the "Unknown sources" option, which has been disabled for security reasons. To enable the installation of apps, please follow the instructions on screen the first time you try to install an application: Settings > Security > Unknown sources (activate).

  10. The battery life of my tablet does not match the one indicated in this manual. Why? Battery life depends largely on how you use the device, that is, how high you set the level of screen brightness, the use of headphones or its built-in speaker, the Wi-Fi settings or the power required for the apps and games that are running.

Warranty

Energy Sistem Technology, S.A. is liable for any lack of conformity that exists at the time the goods are purchased during a period of 36 months. Batteries are excluded from the 36-month warranty, having a warranty period of 24 months.

This warranty covers all defects in workmanship or materials. This warranty does not cover product failures due to accidents, misuse or alteration made by an unauthorized person.

The special 36 month warranty is valid for the European Union. For other countries please refer to the specific legislation or your local distributor.
