  • Thank you for trusting our company and buying the new Outdoor Box Splash. We hope you enjoy it.

  • Before you start using your Outdoor Box Splash we strongly recommend reading this manual to get used to it.


Care and maintenance

  • Use neither corrosive nor abrasive cleaning products.
  • Do not disassemble the device. All repair works should be carried out exclusively by qualified staff of Energy Sistem Technology, S.A.
  • Please make sure your Outdoor Box Splash is off when you are not using it. Do not store the device with an empty battery for long periods.
  • When using your Outdoor Box Splash in salt water or in pool water, you will have to rinse it with clear water to remove any remains of chlorine or salt.
  • When submerging your Outdoor Box Splash in the water, make sure that the charging connector and the audio covers are properly closed.
  • Do not immerse your Outdoor Box Splash* for more than 30 minutes.

Switching on and off the device

Press and hold On/Off (1) for 3 seconds to switch on your Outdoor Box Splash. At this point the LED status indicator (5) lights up. You will also hear a confirmation sound.

Press and hold On/Off (1) for 3 seconds to turn off your device. You will hear a confirmation sound. At this point the LED status indicator (5) switches off.


Playback control

Control all playback functions from your Outdoor Box Splash. Press Play/Pause/Calls/TWS (3) to play or pause a song.

Press Volume +/Next (2) or Volume -/Back (4) to adjust the volume level according to your preferences.

Press and hold Volume +/Next (2) or Volume -/Back (4) for 2 seconds to skip to the next or previous track.

Note: Bear in mind that you can only control playback from the connected music player while using AUX mode (audio-in).


Bluetooth connection (BT)

Switch on your Outdoor Box Splash. At this point the LED status indicator (5) blinks blue. You will also hear a sound. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet and pair it with your Outdoor Box Splash. The devices will be connected without codes. After pairing the devices, you will hear a confirmation sound. The LED status indicator (5) lights up blue.

At this point you will be able to start music playback on your smartphone or tablet. The Bluetooth wireless connection range is up to 20 metres.

You can control playback from the speaker pressing Play/Pause/Calls/TWS (3), Volume +/Next (2) and Volume -/Back (4).

Your Outdoor Box Splash will be automatically paired when you turn it on once again, provided that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone or tablet.


True Wireless Stereo (TWS)

This technology makes it possible to wirelessly pair a second Outdoor Box Splash and hear music with twice as much power. This way, you will create a stereo sound system with separate left and right channels.

Switch on both Outdoor Box Splash and enable Bluetooth on both units. Press Play/Pause/Calls/TWS (3) on one of them and wait until both units are paired. You will hear a confirmation sound. Pair the second unit with your smartphone or tablet to play music via TWS.

You can control playback pressing the playback buttons on any of the paired speakers.

To end the TWS connection, press and hold Play/Pause/Calls/TWS (3) until both units disconnect from each other.


Auxiliary audio input (AUX)

You can also plug an external device into the 3.5 mm mini jack audio-in (6) of your Outdoor Box Splash using the provided 3.5 mm mini jack audio cable. Your Outdoor Box Splash enables AUX mode automatically when plugging the audio cable.

NOTE: It is not possible to control music playback from the speaker while using this mode. To control playback functions, you will have to use the connected music player.


Call control (hands-free function)

Once the speaker and your smartphone are paired, you will be able to answer incoming calls from the speaker itself.

When receiving a call, the song you are listening to stops and the ringing tone sounds instead. Press Play/Pause/Calls/TWS (3) to answer an incoming call and press it once again to hang up. Press and hold Play/Pause/Calls/TWS (3) for 2 seconds to reject a call. The song will automatically resume afterwards.

Keep a distance of 30-50 cm from the speaker for a proper voice reception.


Voice assistant

You can activate your smartphone voice assistant, provided that your Outdoor Box Splash is paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth. To do so, press On/Off (1) twice. At this point, the voice assistant will be ready to receive commands.


Charging the battery

When the battery level is below 10%, you will hear a sound reminding you to charge it. Plug the USB Type-C end of the provided USB Type-C cable into the USB Type-C charging port (7) of your Outdoor Box Splash and the other USB end into any device with a USB charging port (PC, USB wall charger, car charger, etc) to charge the battery. The LED status indicator (5) lights up red and switches off once the charging process is complete. The charging time is approximately 2 hours.

Important:

  • Use a 5 V 2 A power adapter.
  • Do not leave your Outdoor Box Splash completely discharged for a long time.
